• Step 4 Identification: The Maldi-TOF technique has changed the identification process. Transfer of colonies from Petri dish to target plate can now be automated with the MalditofA BT Colony Picker. This prevents any manual mismatch on the Maldi target plate and is more time efficient.

• Step 5 Susceptibility: Using the ID results of the Maldi-TOF KIESTRA is now able to automatically place Antibiotic Disks on selected Petri Dishes with the DiscA. This automated ‘ID guided DD AST’ solution uses the classic Kirby Bauer test to improve Time To Result. After incubation plates are digitally read and zones are being measured using SusceptA: Automated Disk Diffusion Expert Support System.
