Automatic AST plate preparation

Kirby Bauer AST plates are automatically prepared with the DiscA. The automatic placement of Antibiotic Discs for a specific sample gives you flexibility and efficiency in using the antibiotic principle of Kirby Bauer. The DiscA has a capacity of 120 plates/hour. This allows a rapid AST, reduction of waiting times and bottlenecks.

ID Guided Disc Diffusion

Using the ID of the Maldi-TOF, KIESTRA is now able to automatically place Antibiotic Discs on selected Petri Dishes with the DiscA. This allows you to create the right antibiotic test for each individual sample, which will improve the results significantly. The system can choose from 42 different Antibiotic Discs allowing you to make any combination of AB Discs. The SusceptA software can be linked with Expert Rules in order to create the right test for each sample. This software is for research use only.

Digital Zone Measurement

Vision software makes it possible to digitally measure zones, recognize Antibiotic Discs and compare the results with integrated Expert Rules, e.g. EUCAST, CLSI or own expert rules. After analysing the data it can give an advice if a sample is Sensitive or Resistant. This software is for research use only.
